Giving Back to the Community
Xtreme Lashes stylist Beverly Katzenberger has always been involved in community fund raising for a good cause. As the owner of A Lash Above, she now has the opportunity to offer her support in additional ways to the very social conscious Sarasota endeavors. From Gift certificates and packages for silent auctions to free lashes for models at fashion show fundraisers, Beverly loves to be involved.

Always a highlight in the Venice charity function calendar, the South County Family YMCA will have their annual formal fundraising event gala on Saturday February 4th. Transforming the YMCA facility into “somewhere else” the evening is a great opportunity to support fundraising. Continuing scholarships, and expanding programs and services for children and families in our community – the South County YMCA facilities impact hundreds of families each year.

Inspiring involvement through the statement “Great futures start here,” the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County will be hosting their annual Dream Makers Ball on Saturday November 19th. With a South Beach theme not only will proceeds go towards the great cause of the Boys & Girls Clubs, but attendees will enjoy a real South Beach experience from food to music and dancing. Don’t forget the silent auction. Bid on the A Lash Above Gift Certificate for eyelash extensions from Beverly and support youth in Sarasota.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County (BGCSC) provide after-school and summer programs for more than 5,500 children and youth ages 6-18 with four Clubs spread strategically throughout Sarasota County and six 21st Century Community Learning Centers at area elementary and middle schools.
With a mission is to enable all young people, especially those that most in need to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

“Calvary Chapel School Benefit Banquet”
Calvary Chapel is known as a private Christian school dedicated to inspiring educational excellence, virtue, and integrity in our students. For example, students test out on average 2.8 grades higher than the national norm in addition to participation in various service and enrichment opportunities, like mission trips, field trips, and retreats. With a goal to prepare each child to be the best they can be through a quality educational environment, Calvary Chapel works to keep tuition affordable for parents!
One way the school is able to offset the escalating educational expenses is through their dinner and auction event.
November 3-5, 2011: “Wine, Women & Shoes 2011”
This three day event benefitting the Forty Carrots Family Center is a favorite in the Sarasota community. How can you lose with three days celebrating women, children and families? Forty Carrots mission is “Strengthening families through educational programs for parents, children and professionals in the field.” Support a great cause, meet some new friends and see some incredible shoes.
September 2011: “Fall 2011 Fashion Show and Luncheon”
The Sarasota Chapter for the Women’s Council of Realtors presents its annual fundraising luncheon and fashion show benefitting Children’s First on Wednesday, September 21st at the Polo Grille Fete Ballroom.
In addition to A Lash Above Gift Certificate valued at $200 and xTreme Lashes Midnight Blue eyeliner, A lash Above will have several sets of lashes this falls hot color “blue” modeled by Women’s council of Realtors fashion show participants.

Supporting Designing Women Boutique’s fundraising efforts on behalf of the Sarasota Arts and Cultural Alliance. As a non-profit with a mission Designing Women proceeds from consignment sales and numerous events hosted throughout the year support The Arts and Cultural Alliance

Supporting the YMCA Foundation of Sarasota and their efforts to “build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.”
